為這個年輕人感到驕傲。他叫Kevin Chen Kevin Chen
我第一次認識他的時候，他只是一個不到18歲12年級的高中生。他告訴我他的夢想是打大學美式足球校隊。但他從來沒有打過美式足球，因為台灣的學校沒有美式足球校隊。但這個現實成面並沒有讓他氣餒。他入學鮑登學院之後，就直接聯繫教練說想要參加球隊。雖然沒有打過角位這個位置，但他願意從零開始學習和做起。而且非常的努力!
他暑假回來台灣的時候，我們會一起訓練。在他大學的前幾年，很多事情並不如他所願。他並沒有機會上場。他也常常在訓練的時候受傷，甚至也需要開刀。但是這些患難並沒有讓他氣餒。他不斷的努力，付出，再努力。沒錯。他的遭遇並不容易也並不簡單。但他從來沒有放棄!
經歷了這四年的風風雨雨，去年他終於有機會上場。也就在這場比賽裡得到他第一個大學比賽的interception. 他今年大學畢業，九月份開始會在紐約的一個金融銀行工作 - 傑富瑞。
Kevin, 真心為你感到驕傲。一個好的品格是來自於一個人怎麼應對他的患難。你已經壓碎了很多的患難。再接下來新的人生中，我相信你會不斷地壓碎更多的患難。

So proud of this young man here - Kevin Chen. Met him when he was only 18, a high school senior at Taipei American School. He told me his dream was to play college football, but he has never played the game of football because Taiwan didn't have football. But, that didn't discourage him. He walked on at Bowdoin. Despite not knowing anything, he was willing to learn from scratch and put in the work. Coach put him at cornerback. We train together in the summer. In the first few years, things didn't go well at all. He didn't have much playing time. He got injured multiple times and needed surgery. Again, that didn't discourage him. He just kept working and working and working and grinding. Yes. Things got tough. It was not easy. But, he never quit!
He made it through all 4 years despite many adversity. He eventually made it onto the field and had his first collegiate interception. He just graduated this past year and will be working at Jeffries Group, an investment bank.
So proud of you Kevin. The sign of a great character is in how a man deals with adversity. You've absolutely crushed many adversity. And I believe you will continue to crush more in life.
